Quick answer

As of June 2026, Bitget is reachable by residents of Poland and offers spot trading among other products. The competent authority for crypto asset services in Poland is the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, or KNF). Bitget does not yet hold authorisation under the EU Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) framework: its European entity based in Vienna filed a MiCA application with the Austrian Financial Market Authority in June 2026, and approval is not guaranteed. Whether Bitget can continue serving residents of Poland after the transition deadline is not yet confirmed, so verify the current position with the KNF before acting.

Availability

Availability for residents of Poland

As of 26 June 2026, Bitget remains reachable by residents of Poland and continues to offer spot trading and related products. Poland does not appear on the Bitget list of restricted jurisdictions in its Terms of Use. The competent authority for crypto asset services in Poland is the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego, or KNF).

Across the European Union, providers of crypto asset services are expected to operate under the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) framework, either through a national authorisation or by passporting an authorisation held in another member state. The transitional period for existing providers runs to 1 July 2026, after which only authorised crypto asset service providers may continue to serve clients.

Bitget holds a Polish virtual asset service provider registration, recorded on the national register of activities in the field of virtual currencies that applied under the regime before the Markets in Crypto Assets framework. Poland passed national legislation in 2025 that designates the KNF as the competent authority for the Markets in Crypto Assets framework. That virtual asset registration is not the same as a Markets in Crypto Assets authorisation.

Bitget does not yet hold a Markets in Crypto Assets authorisation. Its European entity, based in Vienna, filed a Markets in Crypto Assets application with the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) in June 2026, and Bitget has stressed that this is an application under review rather than an approval. Because the outcome and timing are not settled, the continued availability of Bitget to residents of Poland beyond the transition deadline should be treated as developing and verified directly (as of June 2026).

How it works

Access, KYC, and products

Bitget is a custodial platform, which means it holds the assets in your account on your behalf rather than giving you the private keys. Residents of Poland who can access the platform typically fund accounts using bank transfer methods, and identity verification, known as know your customer, is required before trading. Bitget applies anti money laundering checks as part of onboarding.

The product mix offered to a given country depends on local rules and on the authorisations Bitget holds. Some products, such as certain derivatives, are restricted or unavailable in parts of the European Economic Area. Confirm what is offered to Poland on the platform itself, and treat the Markets in Crypto Assets authorisation question as the main open issue rather than the day to day mechanics (as of June 2026).

Tax

How crypto is taxed in Poland

Crypto is taxed in Poland under rules administered by the Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa, the National Revenue Administration. In general terms, income from the paid disposal of crypto by an individual is taxed at a flat rate of 19 percent, with the tax due when crypto is exchanged for money, goods, services, or rights other than crypto. The exact treatment depends on personal circumstances (as of June 2026).

Rules and thresholds change and depend on your situation, so confirm the current treatment with the Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa or a qualified adviser. See the Poland crypto tax page for a fuller explanation. This is general information, not tax advice (as of June 2026).

Compare available exchanges

Several platforms serve residents of Poland and are working toward or already hold authorisation under the European Union Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) framework. Availability and products vary, so compare the exchanges that are genuinely available in Poland, and confirm each platform status with the KNF before you choose.

Every availability status here is dated and checked against the named regulator's public register. We never place a link to a platform where it is not available.
