Is the platform available to residents
As of June 2026 Bybit is available to residents of Turkey through Bybit Turkiye. Local access runs through the locally incorporated entity, which lets residents register, complete identity verification, fund in Turkish lira, and trade crypto assets.
Turkey brought all crypto asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board through Law No. 7518, which took effect in July 2024. The Capital Markets Board listed Bybit Turkiye as a crypto asset service provider in September 2024, and Bybit Turkiye introduced Turkish lira trading pairs and Turkish lira deposits and withdrawals through local banks. The global Bybit platform has adjusted its fiat services for Turkish users to align with the local rules, so Turkish lira activity flows through Bybit Turkiye. Whether and when full licensing is granted is a matter to confirm on the CMB list (as of June 2026).
The regulator and the framework
Turkey regulates crypto on two main tracks. The Capital Markets Board (CMB, also called SPK) licenses and supervises crypto asset service providers under Law No. 7518, which amended the Capital Markets Law and took effect in July 2024, with secondary rules published by the Board in March 2025. The Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) supervises anti money laundering and identity verification obligations (as of June 2026).
Holding, buying, and selling crypto through licensed providers is permitted in Turkey. Separately, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) issued a regulation in April 2021 that prohibits the use of crypto assets as a means of payment for goods and services. The CMB has stated that its objective is for only fully licensed entities to operate, so the list of authorised providers can change. Confirm Bybit Turkiye's status on the CMB list (as of June 2026).
How residents access the platform
Residents access Bybit in Turkey through Bybit Turkiye after completing know your customer verification, which the Turkish anti money laundering rules require, including a Turkish identity number. Turkish lira deposits and withdrawals are supported through local banking channels.
The product set centres on spot trading across a broad asset list. Under the Turkish framework, providers cannot offer leveraged crypto trading to local users, and marketing rules restrict guaranteed return claims and high reward campaigns. The exact products, supported assets, and fee schedule change over time, so confirm what is offered to a Turkish account before trading (as of June 2026).
Tax treatment
Tax on crypto for residents of Turkey is administered by the Revenue Administration (Gelir Idaresi Baskanligi), under the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. This page does not give tax advice. For how crypto is treated in Turkey in general terms, see the Turkey tax page, and confirm your own position with a qualified local professional before filing.
