How we checked this. We set this status by reading the platform's own terms of use and country eligibility, and the public register kept by the named regulator, then dated the result. Availability can change, so confirm directly with the platform and the regulator before acting. As of 26 June 2026.
As of June 2026 KuCoin is available to Brazilian residents, who can register, complete identity verification, and trade a broad list of crypto assets, with the local instant payment system Pix supported for deposits and withdrawals after Pix verification. Brazil regulates virtual asset service providers through the Banco Central do Brasil under Law 14.478 of 2022, and a fuller authorisation regime took effect in February 2026, so a global platform's authorisation status should be confirmed with the central bank. Products and fees change, so check the current position before acting.
Is the platform available to residents
As of June 2026 KuCoin is available to residents of Brazil. Brazilian users can register, pass know your customer checks, and trade across a large list of crypto assets through the KuCoin app and website. KuCoin has integrated the country's instant payment system Pix, and through its KuCoin Pay feature it supports Pix based crypto payments.
KuCoin requires Pix verification before it processes Pix deposits or withdrawals for Brazilian users. Because Brazil is phasing in a new authorisation regime for virtual asset service providers, and KuCoin is a global platform, confirm its current authorisation or local partnership status with the Banco Central do Brasil before acting (as of June 2026).
The regulator and the framework
Brazil regulates virtual asset service providers through the Banco Central do Brasil under Law 14.478 of 2022, while the Comissão de Valores Mobiliários supervises tokens that are deemed securities (as of June 2026).
On 10 November 2025 the Banco Central do Brasil published resolutions numbered 519, 520, and 521 that set out a fuller authorisation regime, which took effect on 2 February 2026. Under the new rules a foreign platform serving Brazilians is expected to operate through a local subsidiary or an authorised local partner, and existing providers are required to apply for authorisation by 20 October 2026. The position of any individual global platform under this transition can change, so confirm it with the central bank (as of June 2026).
How residents access the platform
Residents access KuCoin in Brazil through its mobile app and website after completing identity verification, which the Brazilian anti money laundering regime requires. Standard verification asks for a government issued identity document, a facial scan, and basic personal details, and Pix verification is required before Pix transactions.
The product set centres on spot trading across a broad asset list, with additional features offered in some cases and subject to local rules. KuCoin is a custodial platform, so it holds account assets on the user's behalf. The exact products, supported assets, and fee schedule change over time, so confirm what is offered to a Brazilian account before trading (as of June 2026).
Tax treatment
Tax on crypto for Brazilian residents is administered by the Receita Federal do Brasil. This page does not give tax advice. For how crypto is treated in Brazil in general terms, see the Brazil tax page, and confirm your own position with a qualified local professional before filing.
KuCoin is one of several platforms available to Brazilian residents, alongside Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com, and others. Availability and funding methods vary, so compare the exchanges that are genuinely available in Brazil before you choose.
Every availability status here is dated and checked against the named regulator's public register. We never place a link to a platform where it is not available.
