Privacy policy

How we handle your data Last reviewed 15 April 2026

This policy explains what information wherelegalcrypto collects when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain about what happens to it. If anything here is unclear, please use the contact page.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways. First, information you give us through a form. When you subscribe to The Compliance Ledger, contact us, or send a partner enquiry, the form collects the details you enter, such as your email address, your name where asked, and your message. These forms are processed by our forms provider, Formspree, which delivers the submission to us by email. Second, information collected automatically, such as basic analytics about pages visited, the approximate region of a visit, the type of device and browser, and how visitors arrive at the site. This helps us understand which pages are useful and where to focus.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information through our forms. Please do not send account passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or financial account numbers. We will never ask for them.

How we use information

We use the email address you give us to send The Compliance Ledger, our newsletter, and to reply to a contact or partner message. We use analytics information to measure traffic, improve content, and keep the site working. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your email address to build a profile for advertising.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue, or by asking us through the contact page. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending and remove your address from the active list.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site carries display advertising and affiliate links to crypto exchanges and tools. An affiliate link appears only after the information on a page and only where the platform is genuinely available to the country in question. If you follow an affiliate link and sign up, the destination platform may tell us that a referral took place, and we may earn a commission. This does not add a cost to you and never changes a legality status or an availability call on the site.

Advertising and affiliate partners operate their own services and set their own cookies and privacy practices when you visit their pages. Those practices are governed by their policies, not ours. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any platform before you create an account.

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic site function and to measure traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them, though some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do. Where required by the rules that apply to you, we will seek consent before setting non essential cookies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to certain uses, or to ask us to stop contacting you. To make a request, use the contact page and tell us what you would like. We will respond within the time the applicable rules require. This policy is general information about our practices and is not legal advice about your specific rights, which vary by region.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows or as the rules change. When we do, we will update the last reviewed date shown near the top of this page. The current version was last reviewed on 16 June 2026.
